La Plaza de Mercado de Paloquemao is one of the most important retail centrals in Colombia. Every morning, from Monday to Friday, approximately 200 merchants sell the flowers they bring from all over the country in the square’s parking lot. They arrive as early as 3:00 am. As the sun rises, the place is filled with an astonishing variety of flowers and colors. These families of hard-working merchants work incessantly until 11:00 am, when they jump on their trucks leaving nothing behind.
This was a personal project. Pictures were shot on August 2013.
